New album, new movie and more
The Weeknd, also known as Abel Tesfaye, will make his feature starring debut in the Lionsgate thriller Hurry Up Tomorrow, set to release in theaters on May 16, 2025. The film is inspired by and features new music from The Weeknd, marking the conclusion of his artistic trilogy that began with After Hours and Dawn FM. Hurry Up Tomorrow, directed by Trey Edward Shults, also stars Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. Lionsgate's Adam Fogelson describes the film as a psychological thriller that will offer fans a new cinematic experience.
