A new survey reveals which common workplace email phrases come across as the most passive-aggressive, and some of them might sound very familiar.<\/p>\n\n

Email verification company ZeroBounce surveyed 2,000 professionals across the United States and Europe in August 2026 to find out which phrases rub people the wrong way.<\/p>\n\n

Surprisingly, "Per my last email" didn't claim the top spot. That honor went to "Just to be clear."<\/p>\n\n

More than half of respondents (52%) said "Just to be clear" sounds passive-aggressive, while 21% picked it as the single worst offender.<\/p>\n\n

The Most Passive-Aggressive Email Phrases<\/h3>\n\n

    For example, 30% of respondents said "Any updates on this?" sounds passive-aggressive, but the same percentage admitted it's one of the phrases they use most often.<\/p>\n\n

    And Then There Are the Emails That Stress Us Out<\/h3>\n\n

    The survey also asked which email phrases cause the most workplace stress.<\/p>\n\n

    "Need this ASAP" topped that list, with 56% saying it increases their stress or anxiety. Another 40% pointed to the dreaded "Can we chat?" while 34% mentioned "Action required."<\/p>\n\n

    And if your inbox feels particularly overwhelming on Mondays, you're not alone. Nearly half of respondents (45%) named Monday as the most emotionally draining day for work emails.<\/p>\n\n

    Of course, not every "friendly reminder" is secretly a warning. Sometimes people really are just following up.<\/p>\n\n

      Last month, Murphy revealed that he had completed a script with fellow creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan. He also shared that he'd been in contact with approximately 10 original cast members, who were enthusiastic about the idea.<\/p>\n\n

      One of those familiar faces could be Rachel Berry! According to TheWrap, Lea Michele is in talks to reprise her role. Meanwhile, Heather Morris, who played Brittany Pierce, has teased her character's return on Instagram.<\/p>\n\n

      The original series followed the students of McKinley High School's glee club and became a pop culture phenomenon thanks to its memorable characters, over-the-top drama and covers of some of the biggest songs in music.<\/p>\n\n

      While the reboot is officially happening, there's still plenty we don't know. No premiere date has been announced, and Disney has yet to confirm the returning cast or reveal what the new storyline will look like.<\/p>\n\n
