Google is jumping into the crowded world of AI-powered chatbots, launching its new app ‘Bard’ in early access this week. The company is describing ‘Bard’ as a “complement” to search engines and not a search engine itself. Functionally, it works much like other chatbots such as ChatGPT, with users offering text prompts that ‘Bard’ responds to.
Users can sign up for the waitlist to use ‘Bard’, but no set timetable has been announced.
