If you love going to concerts, you know the worst part is leaving the show and trying to avoid traffic! Here are a few tips I’ve learned that hopefully save you time & money next time you go to a concert… without having to leave the show early!
Research online areas that offer free parking within a walking distance. Some places offer free parking for certain shows, and paid parking during the week can sometimes be free on the weekend.
When you’re parking in a parking garage:
Try to go for the second or third floor. If you park too close to the entrance, people won’t be as likely to let you in. Parking too far away obviously means it’ll take forever to get to your car!
When finding a spot, try to find one near an exit. The faster you can get to the show and back the less walking you’ll need to do — Plus you’ll avoid some traffic!
Take the time to back into your space. It’s much easier exiting when you don’t have to face the challenge of backing up!
Check the set list before the show. Some artists will post what songs are coming up (and even sometimes the encore) so you can see if there’s anything you’re okay with missing if you decide to head out early!
